The History of African Dancing!!!!!

African Dance is a very complexed art in a very advanced form. It's development encompasses many forms including ballet, jazz and also modern dance. It's influence is very visible in the highly stylized dances of the American's such as the samba and the Rumba. The characters of African dance are very distictive and easily recognisable. African dances bring people together to enjoy themselves and sometimes whole communities at a time come together to dance with each other. At some of the festivals these dances are sometimes performed. The african dancer's are known for wearing bright and colourful outfits when they are performing. Both the men and the women wear the bright and colourful outfits which means that they all will look the same when they are dancing. This is unusual to some other countries where the men and the women wear different outfits.

The History of Irish Dancing!!

Irish dancing first started around the time that the celts came to Ireland around 400AD. The historians believe that the Druids were the first people to do Irish Dancing. There are three main types of Irish Dancing: Step Dancing, Set Dancing and also Celi Dancing. Nowadays these types of dances are mainly used as social dances but there are still Irsih Dancing classes that you can take. Both girls and boys can take part and even compete in competitions to win trophy's. The girls waer big short colourful dresses while the boys mostly wear a pair of black trousers, a shirt and sometimes a waistcoat and a tie. Their shirt can be either plain black or a bright colour. If they choose to wear a waistcoat and or a tie then again they can both be either plain black or a bright colour. The girls will usually curl their hair into tight sausage like curls for the competitions but some of them choose to wear a wig of the same hair-style instead.
